A good number of people from Salem and surrounding churches met at Hawkesbury Upton Methodist Church for a Quiet Day led by Revd Caroline Carter and inspired by the Northumberland coast around Lindisfarne (Holy Island).  The led reflections challenged us to set out with God into the unknown and to rely on the biblical promise that nothing can separate us from God's love as shown to us in Jesus Christ, and periods of free time gave the opportunity for private prayer or reading or reflection.
